NetRise License Intelligence

What Is NetRise License Intelligence?

NetRise License Intelligence is a capability of NetRise Turbine that detects, normalizes, and maps software license information across compiled artifacts — surfacing license issues like ambiguity, missing licenses, and copyleft propagation through dependency graphs so legal, GRC, and engineering teams can make defensible compliance decisions before shipping.

License risk lives in the same compiled artifacts as vulnerability risk, but it has historically been handled by entirely separate workflows and tools. License Intelligence brings licensing into the same evidence base: licenses normalized to SPDX, mapped through direct and transitive dependencies, evaluated against configurable policies, and tracked through remediation. The result is a defensible record of what license issues exist, where they exist, and how they were resolved — ready for release reviews, customer questionnaires, audits, and contract diligence.
